John Michael Lind
Based in Canada’s Okanagan region alt-country singer-songwriter John Michael Lind delivers heart-to-heart connection with soaring vocals, driving rhythm guitar, and well-crafted tunes. Often compared to Blue Rodeo & Pure Prairie League, JML ignites venues across Canada and Europe, entertaining crowds for over a decade.
JML is always ready to head your way. He suits venues & audiences of all descriptions: festivals, restaurants, pubs, house concerts, you name it!
From a wellspring of inspiration fed by John Prine, Van Morrison, Townes Van Zandt and Steve Earle (and more!), JML crafts touching songs that reverberate in hearts long after the show.
Covers of gems like Gordon Lightfoot’s “Canadian Railroad Trilogy,” Bob Dylan’s “Lily, Rosemary & the Jack of Hearts” and more make a great night of music!
Raised on the vast prairies of Saskatchewan, son of a hard rock miner, JML learned the values of community, plain talking, and hard work early on. A life spent on the road working as a travelling salesman (yep, he even once dated a farmer’s daughter!), truck driver, and now as a wandering minstrel, brings a unique perspective to life, love, loss, and joy that weaves a discernible thread through his music.
JML’s debut CD “Out On The Land” received widespread acclaim and wide airplay. March 2025 sees JML’s latest album “Lightning Rod” released!
