TURTLE VALLEY: ROCK THROUGH THE AGES!
Turtle Valley has been rockin’ the Valley for 17 years. We play 65 years of rock, and some country too!
- On drums and lead vocals, Alfie Huston
- On keys, guitars, harps, and vocals, Joan Southworth
- On bass, Bill Lockie, a local jazz legend, who has also performed with Terry Jacks and the Chessmen and has opened for The Beach Boys
- On guitar, another member of the local jazz scene, Jake McIntire-Paul
- On sax, Cranbrook musician Larry Dureski
We have hundreds of songs at our fingertips and can play music of the 50s: Dion and Elvis, 60s: Beatles, Beach Boys, and Orbison, 70s: Creedence, Eagles, and Van Morrison, 80s: Supertramp to Willie Nelson, 90s: Garth Brooks to Blue Rodeo. The current millennium is not neglected either: Viva La Vida (Coldplay), Shallow (Lady Gaga), One Call Away (Charlie Puth), 10,000 Hours (Justin Bieber), and we’re always learning new ones!
We combine all these elements in a tight, high energy show, bringing audiences the soundtrack of their lives, no matter what their generation. We are known for our harmonies, and all of our sound is 100% live and real.
